Clayton Camp Christmas 2018

For Christmas we headed to Oklahoma for Clayton Camp Christmas! It was so fun to have everyone together! We started out at Incredible Pizza.

We went to a park that had a bunch of Christmas lights....

A group of us went Axe Throwing. This was so much fun! Chad and I have decided we are going to set up axe throwing in our backyard.

Christmas eve we opened our jammies...

And Christmas morning was awesome seeing what Santa brought everyone.

Easton received a new hiking backpack, William a remote control mickey car, Chad rock climbing shoes, and the girls new Garmin watches.

My favorite part was watching everyone open the family exchange gifts! Apparently so much so that I only took one picture of William playing with his handmade fishing pole and fish from his cousin Amea. So Cute!

The next day we went rock climbing. Chad was excited to try out his new shoes.

We also went to the food bank and sorted bread into boxes to be delivered to families in need. The kids had so much fun with this!

We had an awesome Cupcake Wars competition with a bag of secret ingredients and 1 hour to make cupcakes for the judges! In our bag was spice cake, werthers caramel candies, raisins and a can of beans.

Seth's team made a lemon berry cupcake with lemon heads...

Kimberly's team made a chocolate volcano cupcake with Cheeto frosting...

We made a spiced carrot cupcake with caramel sauce.

After much deliberation the winner was the volcano cupcake!

We had so much fun together is was sad to head home. The plan was to get all the home in one day but due to 5 hours of traffic we ended up having to stay in Albuquerque for the night. But we did get to see the temple before we headed home.

December Birthdays

Tis the season where our family celebrates three different birthdays only four days apart. First up is the one and only Hawk who turned 3 on December 6th!

While his siblings were at school we had his cousin and friend come over to play! He loved being able to hang out with his two favorite people all day and when they went home he said "Hey! Where did my friends go?"

He requested a Mickey Mouse cake.

And received many gifts sporting his favorite character. Bet you can't guess...

Next was my birthday on the 10th, which I didn't take any pictures of. It was awesome as Chad and the kiddos took care of laundry and cleaning the house. Then both of our parents showed up with dinner and cheesecake!! So delicious.

And then on December 14th Miss Lydia Bug turned 8 years old!! How did that happen? This sweet girl has chosen to be baptized which will happen in January.

She decorated her own cake to look like a balloon.

We had a crazy day full of fun so didn't get a lot of pictures. After school their friend Bella came to play and then we headed into town and ate at IHOP. The kids were so excited about the green Grinch Pancakes. Then we went to Winterhaven to see the Christmas lights. Lydia's favorite is the "snow machine"

She used to have red sparkle flats that she loved until she wore a hole in them. She was excited to get new ones!

Happy Crazy Birthday Month!

November

The weather has been beautiful so we have enjoyed hiking. The kids have wanted to hike Mount Fagan for awhile now so we headed to the Arizona trail.

We found out pretty quickly though that it was a bit too long of a hike to get to the actual mountain. William decided he was done.

But we still enjoyed the beautiful day and scenery.

We also went hiking in Cienega Creek. William could hike forever there.

After hiking we enjoyed safety day at the fire station. They had a jumping castle, helicopter, face painting, hot dogs and ice cream. What more could you ask for?

We also got to watch Toodles while Grandma and Grandpa Miller went to Disneyland. The kids had so much fun with her. I told my parents they better get home soon because Easton was starting to call her "his dog." William and Toodles were best buds by the end of the week.

I have been wanting to paint my piano white since we got it a year ago and I finally did it! It was a lot of work but I love how it turned out!

I still need to replace the keys and figure out a different bench but it is done for the most part!

We usually don't decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving but we got a little excited this year and put up the tree.

We had a great Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa Miller's with delicious food and family. I didn't take any pictures so please enjoy this picture of Easton and his creation.

Sophie is in choir again this year for school and they just had their first concert. She did a great job!

We had a great November and are looking forward to Christmas!
