New Years and Clayton Cowboy Rodeo

For New Years we continued our tradition of picking a different country to celebrate how they would. This year was Germany!

We ate delicious jelly donuts for breakfast.

We made clay good luck charms. Lady bugs, mushrooms, horseshoes and coins.

We did lead pouring fortunes which was so fun! We used wax and had the kids melt it over a candle and then pour into cold water. Then you shine your lead creation in a light and determine what the shadow looks like to tell your years fortune!

We watched the short film “Dinner for One” that always plays on tv in Germany.

We did fireworks!

We then toasted in the new year! And enjoyed a “long meal” of delicious snacks and treats.

Our final day we did the Cowboy Rodeo! We had 7 events.

The Tractor Pull:

Lasso:

Barrel Racing:

Critter Roundup:

Bull Riding:

Cowboy Duel:

And finally the shooting gallery:

We loved having everyone stay and had so much fun! The cousins all wanted to sleep in the garage the last night together.
