Clayton Family Christmas Part 1

For Christmas this year Chad's parents rented a cabin for the week in Flagstaff AZ! It was a lot of fun spending time with family and we even had a white Christmas! That was a first for this California girl.

We took family pictures in the front yard. It was quite cold and our kids were freezing. Our poor Arizona kids.

Lydia and William were freezing and therefore uncooperative and poor Easton had been throwing up all morning. It's a miracle we got a half decent photo.

And here is a reality picture for you.

So between photos we were throwing a bowl to the side but hey pictures are only as good as the memories making them right?

Grandma and Grandpa surprised the Grandkids with tickets to the Polar Express! Complete with matching jammies for all. First we all headed to a yummy pizza place on Route 66.

Before we boarded the train we met Mrs. Clause.

And met the homeless guy from the Polar Express movie.

And even though I may or may not have been dying of bronchitis the train was so much fun. They had it match the movie so well with dancing and songs. The whole family was singing and dancing.

We made it to the north pole and Santa came onto the train. And we were lucky enough to be in the front car and Lydia got the first bell of Christmas! She was sooooo excited and still talks about how her bell came right off of Comet.

We all had so much fun and that was just the beginning of the week!

Lydia Turns 6!

Our Lydia Bug is now 6 years old!

She loved decorating her own cake.

She had a lot of help opening her presents.

She has been wanting a puppy surprise for awhile now so she loved her gift. Grandma Clayton also made her a cute scripture bag!

We also made a gingerbread house together which the kids loved. They did a great job decorating it.

Since her birthday was on a school day we had a fun birthday day on Saturday. She wanted to play at the park.

Then we went to Chuckie Cheese and played games and got ready for the Tucson Christmas Light Parade. It was pretty cold but we loved watching the parade enjoyed hot chocolate.

She is such a sweet girl and is always willing to help. She loves school and is a huge help with taking care of William. She loves to draw and has started to like cooking. We love our Lydia!

Happy 6th Birthday Bugs!

Happy First Birthday William!

William is now walking everywhere! He continues to be very busy and loves climbing on everything. He also thinks he is a big helper when vacuuming or trying to accomplish any project.

He now can say Grandma "Gama" and Grandpa "papa." He loves to take the ornaments off of the tree or empty anything in general.

He gets excited on laundry day when he can follow me in and out of the garage. And gets very upset of someone goes in the garage without him.

William turned one year old last week!

We have been good about not letting him have any sweets. (Lydia had chocolate at 9 months and is obsessed with desserts. Chad believed if we kept it from him longer he wouldn't care for it as much).

Both Grandma and Grandpas came over to celebrate! He was pretty excited and shocked when Chad gave him the cake.

When we sang happy birthday to him he touched the flame and put it out. Crazy kid didn't even flinch! He started eating the cake pretty slow.

But once he had a taste he obliterated that cake. He literally ate half of the frosting.

We were all amazed at the amount he ate and he had quite the sugar high afterwards. He was the goofiest we have ever seen him and he gave his grandparents quite the show on his "stage." He was giggling so hard we were all laughing.

He enjoyed opening his gifts as well. Christmas will be fun.

I thought for sure he was going to throw up or be up all night but this little party animal passed out all night long. Happy Birthday Hawk!
