Easton 11 Months

Easton is 11 months old today. He is our go with the flow little man or as Chad lovingly calls him E-Dog. Even when we are out and going all day missing his naps he is so good about it. On Saturday we went to a baptism where he was quite the little ladys man...

After we went  to the zoo and then headed to a dance performance by one of Chad's seminary students. He was pretty tired...

But he loved watching the dancers. He sat on my lap and jumped up and down he was so excited. One of his favorite things to do is hang out with the girls in their bedroom. He has now started trying to climb the ladder to the bunk beds. But surprisingly he knows how to carefully climb back down all by himself. I was pretty impressed.

He still has no interest in walking. But does like to walk along things. He is content to just crawl. Lately he starts crawling and then lays his head down on the floor to rest and then goes again. It is so funny. He also has a turbo crawl when he is excited.

We got to help Brad and Becca move a couple weeks ago and Easton enjoyed helping. The girls loved spending time with their cousins too.

We drove Eleanor to the park for a picnic yesterday and Easton thouroughly enjoyed dessert. He licked all of the whipped cream off the lid.

The grass was wet but he wanted to crawl on it so the started crawling on his hands and feet it was pretty funny.

I got a bike trailer for Lydia and Easton so I can ride my bike with them. At first Easton was not sure about it and fought me whenever I tried to put him in it. But now he really likes to take rides in it.

Happy 11 months E-Dog!

Some Fun and the Beginnings of a New Floor!

On Friday I took the kiddos to the gym to play. Ever since Easton was born I haven't driven out there much and the girls were so excited to go.

Easton really enjoyed himself and loved crawling into the foam pit. But his favorite was definately swinging on the rope. He would giggle and jibber jabber while I swung him.

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Millers house of course and had lots of fun there. Lydia was especially excited that Grandma had made brownies! When Chad got off of work we headed over to the driving range to practice our putting. Chad and his Dad shortened some clubs for the girls which they love.

Easton was content to sit and play with one of the holes. He liked to put a ball in and take it out.

Chad and I decided to use part of our tax refund to do something we have wanted to do ever since we bought our house. Tile the floor!!! We haven't had the time since both of us were in school but we started on Saturday and are totally excited!

We fell in love with the tile that looks like hardwood. And thanks to my Mom and Dad we are able to do it ourselves. They came over and did a training session for us and supervised and now we are pros haha. And also a thank you to Grandma Clayton for taking the kiddos to the Children's Museum so we could tile! We started in our dining room which means we have no table. We all picnic on the kitchen floor and the girls have their own table...

Chad and I laughed because this reminds us of when we were newlyweds eating on a little wooden crate on our apartment floor because Chad and his Dad were building our table. Good times.

10 Months

Easton turned 10 months old yesterday. I can hardly believe it.

He still loves his sisters to death and he especially likes to hang out on the couch with them when they watch a movie.

He is still our happy lil man. Although he is not afraid to scream at you when he is upset or wants more food.

He has discovered the pots and pans cupboard.  It is his new hang out spot.

He is such a goof ball. The other day he didn't sleep well and laid on the floor like this for 20 minutes while I worked. Apparently playing was too much work.

He got his first tooth this last month! And he is currently working on his top two at the same time.

We love you Easton! Happy 10 months!

Recently

A week or so ago we went to the zoo with Grandma Miller, Aunt Sarah, and Uncle Mike. It was a lot of fun and the elephants were right up against the fence which was cool.

Easton especially loved the monkeys. They were the same size as him and was ready to join and play with them.

The ducks are always the girl's favorite and this time was no exception. This time the ducks were eating right out of their hand which they thought was the best thing ever.

Sophie is getting better at her scooter. We will go for walks and she will ride it the whole time. And surprisingly when she falls she jumps right up and keeps going. Which is not like her at all normally she would just give up.

Last week I had just gotten out of the shower and found Lydia sitting on the couch reading scriptures...

It was the cutest thing ever. Chad keeps his scriptures under our bed so she had to have gone into our room and pulled them out. Our little righteous Lamanite read for probably 15 or 20 minutes.

Gilbert Temple Open House

Yesterday we were able to go to the Gilbert Temple open house. Chad's parents were able to come with us which was fun! The girls were so excited to be able to go inside the Temple.

The Temple was gorgeous of course and Sophie just loved all of the rooms. She especially loved the Sealing room and Celestial room. Lydia said it was pretty and liked looking down the staircase. They both really liked the big sparkly chandelier in the Celestial room.

When we got home Chad talked to the girls about how they felt inside of the Temple. Sophie said she felt happy inside. Lydia was pretty tired and said she didn't know but told me today that she felt good inside.

Easton loved the waterfall outside and was ready to get in.

A Random Funny Moment from Miss Lyds

I keep forgetting to write this down and it popped into my head again today. We read scriptures with the kids every night before bed. We start with each of them saying a scripture then read about a page to them and explain what we read.

Our Miss Lydia..we love her to death but she can be quite stubborn and has a bit of an attitude. She has decided on several nights that she does not want to read her part.

A few weeks ago Chad told Lydia it was her turn to read and she replied "No! I don't want to read I want to be a Lamanite!"

Easton Turns 9 Months Old,Some Firsts, and Some Fun

Easton turned 9 months old on Saturday! He is getting much more vocal and loves to scream when he is excited or upset. His likes to babble "dadada" all of the time. He still very much loves food although he has started to get a little picky. He has decided that green beans are no longer an acceptable vegetable but mashed potatoes are great both to eat and smear all over!

Although he definitely didn't like them in his eyes.  He loves playing with the girls and likes to be in the middle of whatever they are doing. Sometimes the girls do not appreciate this.

He is quite the little mischievous fellow and enjoys doing things we tell him no to. Like playing with the router or sticking his fingers in the VCR...

He tries so hard to get out to the backyard and rams the sliding glass door with his head. So far he has been unsuccessful.

Yesterday we noticed his first tooth had broken through!

Speaking of firsts it was Lydia's first day in Primary as a sunbeam a few weeks ago! It is hard to believe she is that big.

And Sophie was so excited to be a CTR 5.

The other night Chad had a date night with the girls and they decorated a cake. Thank you Grandma Miller for letting us borrow some supplies.

They had a great time and the cake was delicious!

Yesterday Chad made the girls a castle puppet show theater out of cardboard. The girls were so excited. We wrapped it in wrapping paper so they could color all over it.

They did a puppet show for us last night and I have a feeling we will have a lot of performances on our future.
