Ranch Obsession

Easton loves the Hidden Valley Ranch bottle. He gets crazy excited every time he sees it. Any other item on the table he doesn't pay much attention to but when that ranch comes out...

he goes for it.

He went to the doctor yesterday and is 16 lbs 3oz. As Chad brought up that is about what Sophie weighed when she was a year old...crazy. He definitely is getting enough food and he got to try some baby cereal too. He liked it an kept trying to grab the spoon.

Easton 4 Months

Easton turned 4 months old on Sunday! He is such a fun little guy and so happy.

He loves when people talk to him and he tries to mimic the sounds we make. He gets really excited when Chad comes home. Last night I was holding him and he kept following Chad with his eyes and jumping and whining a little. When Chad walked toward him and grabbed him he got so excited and gave big smiles. he definitely loves his Daddy.

He loves his sisters. It doesn't seem to matter what they do to him he still smiles at them. he can turn in complete circles when he is on the floor. He can almost roll from his back to his tummy. He gets completely on his side and rocks back and forth. We think he can do it but that he just doesn't want to.

Happy 4 months little man!!

Happy Birthday Tucson

On Saturday we headed to the train depot. They were celebrating the 238th birthday of Tucson. They gave the kids some free stuff...

We checked out the train museum and played with an old train command center.....

We sang Happy Birthday to Tucson and enjoyed some cake too...

It was fun and Chad found a brochure with some train vacations in them that we think would be fun to do someday. They also had some Model A's to look at. The girls were so excited when they saw them but probably not as much as Chad. The girls LOVE cars. They ask Chad if they can just look at pictures of cars on the Internet and dream about the ones they want. I don't think Chad minds at all. The other day they discovered Easton's Grammy quilt.....

and begged me to pull out Easton's cars so they could play. Easton became a "mountain" to drive around and they all played for over an hour together.

Weekend Fun

On Friday Chad got off work early so we headed to the zoo. It was a nice cool monsoon day so it was perfect...

There wasn't many people there either which made it nice. Afterwards we headed to Chad's seminary classroom to get everything ready for his class to start on Monday. We are excited for him to teach and embark on our new adventure.

On Saturday we picked up Grandma and Grandpa Clayton and headed to Apple Annie's to pick some yummy peaches.

We got to ride in the wagon to the orchard....

Lydia picked one peach and then flipped out and threw it on the ground. She thought it was attacking her. I told her it was just soft and fuzzy but no way was she touching one again. So she picked the remainder of her peaches with the stick.

Sophie on the other hand could have picked peaches all day.

We enjoyed apple wood smoked burgers and some yummy peach pie al a mode. It was pretty hot though. We think next time we go it will be in cooler temperatures. Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house and made some peach pie of our own of course.

Sophie's First Day of Preschool!

Tuesday was Sophie's first day going to preschool. She was beyond excited all morning and even jumped out of bed when Lydia woke up....that never happens she likes her beauty sleep.

She didn't even want me to walk her up to the door.. Miss Independent. It was show and tell day and she was so excited to bring her baby doll to show her friends. Sadly it was forgotten in the car but Sophie happily told her friends all about her baby and then I brought her at the end of school so she could show it. She handled it so well. I thought for sure I had ruined her first day of school.

Lydia was a little sad and so I told her she could have whatever she wanted for a snack. And so she made.....

A licorice and Grandma Chocolate (nutella) sandwich of course....silly girl. I think next time I will put some restrictions on it.

Sleep Over Fun

Thursday we had Sierra and Makenzie over for a sleepover! Easton got to play with Emery for a bit...

The girls played Just Dance a lot and enjoyed showing off their moves...

Here is a video clip...Lydia only really got into it when she wasn't holding the remote...go figure.

We painted nails, made snow cones, played at the park, and made some yummy Smores in the backyard. Easton enjoyed watching all the fun....

They stayed up late giggling and watched a movie and surprisingly did not sleep in at all. On Friday we went swimming at Grandma Millers house. Lydia was quite delusional all day. She has never stayed up so late before. She was so quite and just went with the flow...hmm maybe she should stay up late more often?

Recently

Some things we have been doing recently....

We enjoyed some carrots out of our garden! The girls had fun picking them...

They were completely excited about eating them until it actually came time to eat them then not so much.

I took the kids to the gym Friday. It has been so long since we have gone and they were so excited to go run and play.

On Saturday we went to the Children's Museum with Grandma and Grandpa Clayton...

We had originally planned on going to the zoo but there was literally thousands of people there. So we enjoyed the day out of the heat.

Thanks to Grandma Clayton the girls made some super cute sunglasses...

and on Sunday Easton started giggling! He did it for the first time for Chad at church while he was changing his diaper. Every one of our children has laughed for him first. Apparently he brings it out in them.

On Monday Brad and Becca were nice enough to invite Sophie and Lydia over for a sleep over. We first played at the water park. Sophie loved the slides....

The girls had a blast and were so sad to come home. Sophie even told me she wished she was a part of their family and not ours because they are way more fun...ouch. Before dropping her off I told her I was going to stay for awhile at the water park. She kept insisting I didn't have to and could go home and work. I told her I wanted to spend time with my brother. She got excited and said "yeah you could do that!" Then I explained that brad was my brother. She sadly replied "oh." Ouch again thanks Sophie. At least 2 out of 3 kids still want me around for now.
