Day 4

It is now day 4 of 10 that Chad has been gone. He went to North Carolina to help convert Wachovia banks into Wells Fargos. We are trying our best not to be bored...
So I have tried to plan some activities to keep us occupied.... Mike and Bekah invited us to Agua Linda Farm. It was a lot of fun! We played on tire swings...

Pet some animals....

Uncle Mike caught a chicken for us...

Lydia loved all of the animals especially the sheep she wanted to go crawl around with them (no i didn't let her) But Sophie for some reason was terrified of all the animals. It took me a lot of convincing to get her to pet a horse.

We went through some hay mazes....

They did a presentation on how the sheep dogs herd sheep. It was really cool to watch those dogs....

It was really hot in the sun and Lydia was getting pretty red and sweaty so I sent Sophie with her cousins to go on a hayride to the pumpkin patch while I took Lydia to play in the shade....

Sophie came back with some pretty cute pumpkins for her and her sister....

Sophie loved spending time with her cousins.

The girls really have been great while Chads been gone much better than I expected. Then it happened. We were flossing Sophie's teeth and she was happily talking about the farm when she randomly burst into tears and said she needed her daddy. It was so sad. 6 more days to go wish us luck I think we might need it!

A First and a Visit to the Zoo

Lydia officially has her first tooth!!! My children like to wait a long time before this happens. Several babies at church that are much younger than her have several teeth.
Chad and I have decided we liked Sophie's teething experience much better. "Wow look Sophie has a tooth!" We had no idea she was teething she acted perfectly normal and happy. Not so much with Ms Lyds. She is one crabby baby. But we still love her.

On Saturday we took a trip to the zoo to see the new baby lion cubs. They were so adorable.

My camera wouldn't zoom far enough so they are kind of blurry and don't give them justice. But Sophie was so excited to see them. They were running around and playing with their mom.

Lydia was not a fan of the large Purana's. Although who could blame her they are bigger than her!

But she did want to live with the ducks and attempted to crawl into the pond...

It was a fun day and it was perfect weather! I am so glad it is finally starting to cool off a little!

Halloween Wreath

My mom and sister and I have decided to have girls days where we make holiday wreaths together. It is so much fun! Saturday we got together for conference and made our Halloween Wreath!

I am still deciding whether to put a face on my bat or not. What do you think?

Outside

My children would probably live outside if I let them. They just love it. Unfortunately most of the time it is just too hot. So they only get to spend a little bit of time outside before it gets dark. The other day it was nice and cool from monsoons so the girls had fun.

Sophie Loves to ride her bike and is getting much better at pedaling although she gets tired and just does flinstone style most of the time. Lydia was excited to bring out the little car. She felt like a big girl with her sister...

And just because this is my favorite model pose of Sophie so far here you go.....

Mystery

Today was the mystery of the missing microwave plate. I opened the microwave to heat up Sophie's oatmeal and there was no plate in there....? Sophie said "uh oh mom where is it?" I had no idea. It was a mystery.

I looked all over the kitchen and in the dishwasher and it was no where. Who would take the microwave plate? After a while of detective work we still didn't find it....until lunch when I got the girls sitting at the table and there it was on the floor in the dinning room. Guess I shouldn't quit my day job.

I Eat Rocks Anonymous

Hi my name is Lydia and I like to eat rocks.

And apparhently its a problem because I always hear "spit it out!" But I just love them so I have to be sneaky......
Ok so maybe I need to work on my sneekiness.
