A Little Training

We went to Sports Authority the other day and Chad and the girls found some football equipment....

Sophie informed us after putting it on that it was for boys. I told her that girls can play football too. And coach Dad proceeded to show them what to do...

They really liked hitting each other...maybe we should by a couple for them for at home to get out some sisterly frustrations.....

2 Months

Our little Easton is 2 months old today!! He is smiling a lot more and is over all just a happy kid...

We took him swimming for the first time a few days ago. His swimsuit was just a little too big for him and we only had swimming diapers from Lydia....

He was a little too tired to care much about the water too..

Happy 2 months Mr. Roc!! We love you!

Little Miss Independent

About 2 weeks ago Lydia decided to potty train her self. She put on underwear and never looked back. She only had an accident every couple days or so and she would take care of it herself. Now that's my kind of potty training!

After our last miserable attempt at teaching her to use the potty I gave up and decided to let her do it on her own. I am so glad I did because this little miss independent just wanted to do it in her own time!

Yesterday she was reading books to Easton it was pretty cute. She has several of our books memorized. I apologize for her lack of clothes she got distracted when getting dressed..

Easton is getting to be a big boy...okay he has always been a big boy. But he weighs 12lbs 13oz. He is 85% for weight and 81% for height. He loves taking baths...

and I finally was able to catch some little smiles on camera!

Silly Girls

Chad is always telling Sophie she can't kiss boys until after she is married. Whenever we watch a movie and a couple kisses she asks if they are married. He will remind her when she can kiss a boy and she says "yeah I know"

Grandma Clayton and Chad were talking about it the other day and Chad told Sophie "No kissing until your married right?" and Lydia pipes in "Yeah but we can hug!!" I think we are in trouble with that one....

Easton is doing well. We get him all dressed up in a cute... I mean handsome outfit every Sunday...

Which he proceeds to pee on pretty much every time. Poor Chad is usually a victim of this also. His life consists mostly of the girls hovering very closely over him....

But he likes it.

1 Month

Easton is 1 month old today...

It is crazy to think he is that old already. Time is flying by. He is such a good little guy and is so patient especially with his sisters. He is smiling a lot more and hopefully sometime I will catch it on camera. He mostly does it when you are talking to him. In the car he enjoys being able to see his sisters. He gets upset of I don't uncover him...

This was his view the other day...

We headed to the hospital since they were giving away free bike helmets. The girls loved them so much they wore them the rest of the day.

Roc N Roll

Mr. Easton Roc is growing too fast. Last Friday we were making breakfast and he was doing some tummy time. Next thing we know he was on his side....

And then all of the sudden we look over and he was on his back!

We thought for sure it was a fluke....I mean he is only 3 weeks old. But he has done it several times since and has gotten pretty good at it.

I just cant believe how big he is getting. His 3 month clothes fit him pretty well and he is too big for newborn. I am so used to the girls who lived in newborn clothes for at least a month.

Current Happenings in the Clayton House

The past couple of weeks have been pretty exciting around here. We have enjoyed snuggling with our little Easton..

He has enjoyed his baths...

The girls have enjoyed holding him every chance they possibly can...

Lydia held him so long the other day she got a little tired...

Easton especially loves snuggling with Daddy....

He also got a super cool Binky from Grandma Clayton which he likes...

He looks pretty awesome with it.

Chad took the girls out to fly their kites...

I guess while Chad was helping Sophie get hers in the air Lydia got her kite up all by herself and was flying it like a pro. She was so proud of herself.

Last weekend my Dad turned 60. Scott and Rachel came to surprise him!! So we were all together and it was a lot of fun!! The kids really enjoyed swimming all together...

We also finished Lydia's big girl quilt! This was definitely a community project! I would have never gotten it done without the help of my awesome Mother-in-law, sister-in-law Aimee, and of course Chad. Seriously they did a lot of work and Lydia LOVES it!

Now the girls have matching blankets (in their favorite colors of course)
