Sorry for the long absence. We are in the middle of school and work right now so consequently my blog suffers. We haven't done anything too terribly exciting around here. Mostly work, homework, and going out to Chad's parents house so Chad can work on his station wagon. But I was able to add new decorations to my wreath for Valentines Day...
Someday I will actually make a new wreath but whatever extra time I have is spent on homework at the moment so wreath making will just have to wait.
Sophie went to her cousin's pajama birthday party. She was so excited to go! She had the option to spend the night and I was a little nervous. I did not want to drive out to Sahuarta in the middle of the night for a meltdown. But what we found out was that she is quite the party animal (and we are in a lot of trouble when she gets older).
I guess she was great and did not complain at all. She really had a blast. I also learned she stayed up until 1:30 in the morning. Apparently she was the last to fall asleep. Lydia did great without her sister as well. I was pretty nervous about that too. Come to find out she loved all the attention on her. But she was so excited to see her sister the next day...
We went to the zoo with a majority of her cousins which was a lot of fun. Although by that point lack of sleep had finally hit Sophie and she was pretty cranky.
We did get to see the baby lions again. They have gotten pretty big. I guess it was lunch time for them when we got there...
One of the kids asked what they were doing and Becca responded "Their eating their mom. Sucking the life right out of her." ha ha . No worries we did explain to the kids. She is nursing right now and I agree sometimes it does feel that way.

Bow-Tique!
So it has been 6 months since I made a hanging for all of the girl's bows and I finally decided on what to put on the board! Sophie and Lydia like to watch Mickey Mouse and they have a short about Minnie's Bow-Tique where she makes hair bows for her friends. So I thought it would be perfect for their hair bow hanging!

Painting Nails
My girls make me tear up almost everyday they are just so sweet together. They get so excited to see each other when they wake up that they have to hug. When Sophie comes into the library after sunbeams Lydia gets all excited and runs to her with her arms open. And Sophie says "Aw sister!!"
Yesterday was another one of those moments. Sophie was playing with her Tinkerbell play makeup and said "Lydia would you like me to paint your toes?" And Lydia shook her head yes and plopped down in front of her and held up her foot.
I just love that they like to play together.
And I finally got video of Lydia talking so I thought I would share...

Friday Night Bowling
The girls and I went to pick Chad up from work on Friday and ended up going bowling with his coworkers. Sophie was so excited and clapped and cheered for everyone. Lydia was a bit cranky. She was so mad that she couldn't play with the bowling balls. When I tried to show she could roll it around she threw a fit because she just wanted to carry it around. Sophie loved to help Daddy bowl.....
Lydia helped a couple of times too but I couldn't get a good picture. Chad got a couple of strikes and busted a move....
Although Sophie was pretty sad whenever he did. He would go by himself first and then have Sophie help him knock down the rest. But she loved every minute. Sophie has been bowling once before but she was only a year and a half old so she doesn't remember. We decided we need to take them again when it isn't Lydia's bedtime.

Cabin Fever
My car has been dead for a little while now and we are waiting for our tax return to fix it. In the meantime we are a one car family. Not a huge deal and actually it hasn't been too bad. If I need the car we just take Chad to work. The girls love it. But I only do this if I need the car which isn't too often. Sophie will look out the window and say "Dad has the car so we can't go ANYWHERE." We hadn't gone anywhere but the park across the street all week. Needless to say the girls were getting a little cabin fever.
So Friday and Saturday we took the car for sanity sake.
I took the girls to play at the park....
and to feed the ducks...
Saturday we went to the zoo....
It was fun and we defiantly needed it.

My girls love clothes. Especially Sophie. I think Lydia just gets excited because Sophie is excited. They got some cute new outfits for Valentines Day. I know it is still January but I couldn't wait for the girls to wear them! The girls loved them and what do you do when your excited about a new outfit?
You play ring around the rosy.....
It's the fun thing to do. Thanks Grandma for your awesome clearance shopping!

My lil Shoppers
Last Friday we went shopping with Grandma Miller. My girls love going to JcPenny because they have the best of both worlds. Escalators and mirrors. My girls find everything they can see their reflection in....
Even when the things they find aren't really supposed to be mirrors....
Every time we would stop to look at something my girls drop to the floor to stare at themselves in the base of the stands. Are they conceded? Maybe... but as Chad says "they are not conceded they are confident!"
They also found the bed of their dreams....
Sophie loved it and said "mom take a picture of me by the pretty bed!" And Lydia said "ooo!" over and over.
