Our Princess Turned 3!

Saturday was Sophie's 3rd birthday. I just cant believe how grown up she is getting. The night before we put rag curls in her hair in preparation for her belle costume...
She was so excited in the morning. We went to the Cops and Rodders car show. My brother Mike entered his Baja in it so we went and checked it out. They had a Pinewood Derby race. Sophie got to pick out a car to enter. It was so fun and she completely lost but they still gave her a metal....

Then we went home and got the house ready for her Princess Tea Party! All of her girl cousins that live here came plus she got to invite a friend from nursery. She was beyond excited for this. I pulled out my Grandma Miller's Tea set for the occasion....

Everyone dressed up as beautiful princesses.....
And they enjoyed sugar cookies and pink lemonade...

Then they all twirled in their dresses...

Then they all tried to fit into the princess castle...
She was so sad her tea party was over but we had more fun to do!! We went to a Trunk or Treat and played games..

Chad and I went as BSU fans. I know we are creative. It will probably be our costume every year haha.

I think Lydia's costume looked much better that night. Thanks Grandma Miller! Sophie loved the Trunk or treat. She actually said "trick or treat" this year. But she did make me hold her bucket because it was too heavy thats our princess....
On Sunday We had all both grandparents over for her birthday dinner. Grandma and Grandpa Clayton got her a awesome dollhouse. She was so excited.

I made her a Ariel Barbie cake that she has been requesting for months...

Today Grandma Miller took her shopping and out to lunch. And she came home with....

This girl is in heaven. Happy Birthday Sophie!!!!

Pumpkins, Clapping, and Happy Girls

Wednesday night we bought some pumpkins for the girls to carve. Which actually turned into Dad doing all of the work. Lydia loved getting all the pumpkin guts out...
And she even tasted it several times....

As you can see she didn't like it but kept eating it anyway. That's our Lydia she will eat almost anything.
Sophie wasn't so thrilled about cleaning the pumpkin. Cant get those Princess hands dirty. She used a spoon and then tried her best not to touch it at all...

Here is our finished Ariel Pumpkin! Sophie of course loves it....
Lydia started clapping last night at dinner! She is getting so big.
Chad has had the last four days off of work and all of his girls have been happy campers. We really missed him.
Chad helped the girls build a fort yesterday on the couch they loved it!

Gym Halloween Party

Last night was the Halloween Party at the gym Sophie was so excited to finally get to wear her Belle Dress....

Thank you Grandma Miller for the beautiful dress! She loved everything about it. Especially twirling in it!
Lydia was not quite as excited.....

But she did warm up once we got there. There were lots of games and Sophie even won a cake playing musical chairs.

Lydia's costume as the rose from Beauty and the Beast didn't quite turn out as I had imagined but someone did recognise she was a flower. Finding a plain green onzie is really hard to find right now for some reason.

Fall Festival

On Saturday my sister in law Becca invited us to the Sahuarita Fall Festival. It was so much fun! It was a little hot but not bad in the shade. Seriously I dont think fall is ever going to come!

There was hayrides.....

Train Rides....

And pony rides!!!!

There were jumping castles that the kids had a blast on too. We didnt end up doing the face painting because the line was so long and it was in the sun. And they had a petting zoo but we got to it after it closed.....

Seconds after this pic the pot belly pig poked his nose out and scared her half to death...

The guy was putting the animals away and asked for the kids to help....

Sophie was too scared to help. And then of course she finally got brave enough once they were in the trailer. It was a fun day and it was so cool because this was all free. Apparently they do these every month and I think we will have to go again!!!

Chocolate

Because Sophie had SO many food allergies I have been being careful with Lydia. Chocolate is one of the big ones I have been trying to keep away from her until she is a year old. Sophie was very allergic to chocolate the poor girl but luckily she did grow out of it.

But it is hard to keep chocolate away when the girl is just so darn sneaky. One morning She was sitting on Chad's lap while he was eating breakfast. He turned his head for one second and she snatched away his chocolate muffin and shoved it in her mouth as fast as she could.

The other day I let Sophie have some chocolate mint cookies and Lydia had animal crackers after lunch. Little did I know that Sophie just licked all the mint off of the cookies and then threw them on the floor. It blended into our carpet so I didn't see them. Until I discovered Lydia under the table chowing down on chocolate cookies.

So I figured she obviously isn't allergic to chocolate since she has had no reactions so let her have cake!.......

Needless to say she loved every minute of it.
