Today was the mystery of the missing microwave plate. I opened the microwave to heat up Sophie's oatmeal and there was no plate in there....? Sophie said "uh oh mom where is it?" I had no idea. It was a mystery.

I looked all over the kitchen and in the dishwasher and it was no where. Who would take the microwave plate? After a while of detective work we still didn't find it....until lunch when I got the girls sitting at the table and there it was on the floor in the dinning room. Guess I shouldn't quit my day job.

Step 1 2 3

Ms. Lyds took her first steps last Friday. We were at the gym and she just stood up took 3 steps and then fell over. Wait a minute Lydia your only 9 months old!
She does it all the time now and I was finally able to catch it on video.

Sophie gets a little jealous that I get all excited when Lydia takes a couple steps. So then she says "My turn mom" and then proceeds to walk towards me all slow and wobbly. And I clap and cheer for her too. What a goofball.

Boise State Game

Friday night was Boise State Game Night!!!! We were ready to cheer them on in our jerseys....

Sadly Sophie refused to put hers on and said she didnt want to watch the game and wanted to play in her room. She was mad it wasnt a football party at Aunt Sarahs house. But I was able to convince her to wear her cape Grandma Clayton made her....
Here is the other side. It fits her attitude pretty well.....
Lydia got comfortable and watched Boise State win!
Karl even got into the spirit...

Happy Birthday

Tuesday was my amazing husband's 26th birthday! Things didn't quite go as planned...He had requested to get off at 12 instead of 5 so I planned on taking him to dinner and a movie. But then his manager said no and everyone was staying till 7. So that meant we couldn't go and do anything because Sophie would have been crushed if didn't get to sing to him since they would be to bed shortly after he got home. So we decided to make him cookies and get balloons and surprise him at his work! Mom Clayton came with us and we got him a bunch of balloons. The girls were so excited. Lydia said "dada dada" all the way there. We must have made his manager feel bad because she let him off at 5. But I didn't know until 5 so plans changed again haha. We ended up shopping as a family at Target. Chad was supposed to shop for himself but because he is the selfless person he is he bought stuff for the girls. I said "Honey you are supposed to get things for you." and he replied. "This brings me joy." Happy Birthday to the best husband a girl could ever dream of!

We ended up getting Sophie's birthday present for next month. She loves to try on shoes and she put on these really cute Dora tennis shoes and said "These are awesome!" So we snuck it in the cart. I think she will be really excited when she finds out we got them.

Yesterday Lydia turned 9 months old! She is one funny kid. Now she wants to walk everywhere holding our hands and will get upset if she has to crawl. She wants to be big. She can stand up on her own but when she realizes she doing it she sits. She still eats like a horse and loves being with her sister.
She loves playing dress up and has now figured out how to put necklaces on and off. She will sit there and do it for awhile. She had already been doing it for a good 5 minutes and when I thought to get the camera she was done but I did catch her getting it on and off....

Hot Chocolate Parties

My Grandma Miller loved Tea Sets. She had a china cabinet full of them and I always loved looking at them and playing with the small sets. Sophie now loves to play with them too! But instead of Tea Parties we have Hot Chocolate Parties. With crumpets, cake, and cookies. Of course you have to dress up for the occasion....

Lydia really enjoys playing with her big sister especially when Sophie shares her freshly made hot chocolate...
Although I am sure she thinks were crazy pretending to eat nothing...

Holding Hands

Sophie and Lydia like hold hands in the car....
They crack me up. Sophie will say "Mommy I want to hold my sisters hand" Then she will reach out and Lydia gets all excited and grabs it. I am sure one day it will turn into poking and hitting but for now I am enjoying it.

Zoo and other Happenings

So its been awhile since I have posted. It has been a very long week and a half. I have been sick off and on. Mastitis put up a really good fight and after round three in one week I was ready to surrender. Thank goodness for the right antibiotics.

Saturday we had a Boise State Party at my sisters house. It was really fun! Okay so it looked like it was really fun I took a nap and then curled up in the fetal position on their couch. But BSU won!!! Woohoo!
We all had our jerseys and Mom Clayton brought over beads the day before and we made some really cute BSU bracelets. Also she made Sophie an awesome reversible cape. I am so sad I didn't get any pictures. Next game I will definitely take pictures as long as I am not dying. :)

Yesterday we went to the zoo with Papa and Oma Clayton. It was a lot of fun and the animals were really active. Sophie even got to see the Polar Bear have her lunch. She loved the piles of fake ant poo by the ant eaters and insisted Papa take a picture...
She is getting so big. She always has to pose for pictures now.
